Hand Shaped Greeting Cards; Nursery Class Activity

 Celebrations of an event means a lot to beginners. They immediately respond when they listen about something is going to be celebrated at home or elsewhere. Whether it is 👗 dressing up new clothes or prepration of items related to what you are going to celebrate. This is just like playing with colours of a toddler. 


So today we will discuss a new activity for Nursery class students. Within a few minutes this activity can be arranged at home or playschool. I mean to prepration of a greeting card for the related event which is going to be celebrated. This needs:

1. Colourful Chart

2. Pencil 

3. Sketch Pen/ Permanent Marker 📝 

4. Glue stick

       Now let's discuss how to make greeting card with the help of Hand shape of little one. Place your child's hand on the chart and draw its shape on chart with the help of pencil. Make sure your child or student doesn't shift or move hand while drawing his hand shape on chart. Now starting from left hand repeat the same procedure with the right hand of your child.

             After drawing the shape of both hands now it's time to cut the cutlets of both the shapes with the help of  a scissor.  Now both hand Shaped cutlets of your child are ready to make greeting cards from his side. After this cut a rectangular strip of chart. The length of this strip depends on the name of celebration of the event because we have to make multiple folds of this strip. On each fold write one letter of the event being celebrated. Finally fix this folded strip in the middle of the hand cutlets after placing left hand cutlet on right hand cutlet. Please take care both the thumbs of the cutlets are placed on each of those.

Here you can see that both the ends of the strip are connected to both the hands cutlets with the help of glue stick. And on every fold of the connecting strip contains only ony letter. In this example we have write HAPPY word on front page of the left hand cutlet. Next word TEACHER is written on folded strip and last word DAY written on internal side of right hand cutlet. Either On the inner side  or outer side of right hand cutlet you can write the name of your child.




    So you can see this is a small activity for Nursery class students but they will enjoy it very much and also feel very happy to see their both hands cutlets.

  This activity can be arranged on celebration of different events like Birthday, Anniversary, Diwali, Christmas day etc.
